Salt Lake City is strategically placed and offers excellent connections with neighboring cities, as well as links beyond. With one of the best public transport systems in the US, Salt Lake City is easy to get around using local buses and the light rail network, while the city's plentiful taxis are ideal for short hops.
The roads here are relatively easy to navigate, with the I-15 and the I-80 both converging here, providing easy access to the surrounding mountains. Car hire is available in the city center and at the airport. Greyhound bus offers frequent coach services to destinations across Utah and major centers farther afield, however, long distances by bus can be uncomfortable. A more comfortable alternative is to arrive by train, with Amtrak operating regular services to and from the city.
The city is also served by Salt Lake City International Airport, a 10-minute drive from downtown. This air hub operates flights to and from major US cities and a number of international destinations.
